Refrigerated Biscuit dough

I made this recipe with high hopes. I happen to like refrigerator biscuit dough for other things, why not doughnuts?

They roll up nice and cook exactly as described, but the results were very dissappointing. No amount of powdered sugar, sauces, etc- could make these taste right or even close to a doughnut. My husband ate a few with no complaints but the majority wound up in the bin- rare indeed for baked goods in our house.

As a way to occupy kids with cooking, it just seems to me that making dough to fry is already kid simple. I do not recommend. -Sep 7, 2019
