Upon discovery of this very simple pattern I began to envision applications that do not reflect the heritage of the design, or the advice of the patternmaker who shared this.

For application as a smock-type coverall for oil painting, I would widen the cut so that I could ribbon tie it closed- over and under like a 70's wrap top. I would use oilcloth, canvas, or mercerized cotton.

I'm not sure it will work out as I see it but the simplicity of this free pattern makes it an easy one to experiment with.
